Tan Prep & Care
FOR BEST RESULTS
Complete your at-home beauty routine 24 hours prior to your appointment - shower, shampoo, shave, EXFOLIATE, lotion, etc.
Make and complete all your outside beauty appointments 24-48 hours prior to your session - including waxing, manicures, pedicures, lashes, etc.
Prior to your first appointment, you will receive an email containing a Hold Harmless Agreement, as well as, a Photo Release Form to sign electronically.
Remove or Do Not Apply any makeup, deodorant, perfumes, lotions, body oils, or anything that creates a barrier on your skin.
Dress down to your comfort level - You can leave on or take off as many clothes as you wish.
No Apologizing for any part of your body. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL!
WEAR - Loose-fitting, dark clothing. No leggings or tight clothing, silk, closed-toe shoes, or anything clinging to your body.
AVOID - Any contact with water or excess sweating; this includes snuggling warm, sleepy babies and dodging those sweet, slobbery dog kisses - contact with moisture while your tan develops can create splotches and streaking.
DEVELOP - Your tan will develop over the next 6-8 hours, usually overnight. *If you are using a rapid development solution, Erica will discuss development times with you.
SHOWER - Once you have reached your designated development time, you are ready for your first shower. Using water ONLY, lightly rub your hand in a circular motion along each extremity. You will see some color go down the drain, this is normal; it is the bronzer, used as a guide to give you a flawless tan.
Upon exiting the shower, PAT DRY - swiping motions while drying will begin to strip your tan and cause a quicker, more uneven fade. Continue this throughout the life of you tan.
Golden carries a variety of solutions for all skin types and tones. Erica will discuss with you which solution would be best to achieve your perfect color.

Rapid Solution Development Times
2 Hours: Light
3 Hours: Light-Medium
4 Hours: Medium-Dark

Solutions contain cosmetic bronzer. Most bronzer will rinse off in your first shower. While developing, it does have the ability to transfer to clothing, furniture, and bedding.
MOISTURIZE -The key in maintaining your tan.
AVOID - Prolonged exposure to soaking waters, including baths, spas and hot tubs, pools, lakes, oceans, etc.
PAT DRY - After every shower - swiping motions will begin stripping your tan and cause a quicker, more uneven fade. This also includes the removal of perspiration.
SPF - Spray tan solutions DO NOT contain any SPF. Sunscreen is highly recommended to protect your skin.
FADING: Your face, feet, and hands will begin to fade the quickest.
A spray tan can last anywhere from 5-7 days, with proper care, before you notice significant fading.

The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes from my arrival to departure.
Golden - Mobile Spray Tanning uses solutions, made from the highest quality, naturally-derived ingredients. We have a variety of solutions that complement every skin tone; resulting in a beautiful, bronze tan.
Our solutions are naturally unscented. The "tanning smell" comes from the amount of DHA - which is the darkening agent in the solution. The higher the DHA (or darker the tan) the more of a "smell" you will get. Every body is different and reacts differently to the DHA. Overall, any smell is faint and not offensive.
Consult with Erica on which solution to use in order to achieve the perfect shade for you.

Spray tans are considered safe during pregnancy and for breastfeeding mothers, as the tan only penetrates the top layer of skin and does not enter the bloodstream.
We offer protective coverings for nostrils and breasts, upon request.
