Tan Prep & Care
FOR BEST RESULTS
Complete your at-home beauty routine 24 hours prior to your appointment - shower, shampoo, shave, EXFOLIATE, lotion, etc.
Make and complete all your outside beauty appointments 24-48 hours prior to your session - including waxing, manicures, pedicures, lashes, etc.
Prior to your first appointment, you will receive an email containing a Hold Harmless Agreement, as well as, a Photo Release Form to sign electronically.
Remove or Do Not Apply any makeup, deodorant, perfumes, lotions, body oils, or anything that creates a barrier on your skin.
Dress down to your comfort level - You can leave on or take off as many clothes as you wish.
No Apologizing for any part of your body. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL!
Wear - Loose-fitting, dark clothing. No leggings or tight clothing, silk, closed-toe shoes, or anything clinging to your body.
Avoid - Any contact with water or excess sweating; this includes snuggling warm, sleepy babies and dodging those sweet, slobbery dog kisses - contact with moisture while your tan develops can create splotches and streaking.
Marinate - Your tan will develop over the next 6-8 hours, usually overnight. If you are using a rapid development solution, Erica will discuss development times with you.
Shower - Once you have reached your designated development time, you are ready for your first shower. Using water ONLY, avoid soaps, wash cloths, loofahs, etc. You will see some color go down the drain, this is normal. It is the topical bronzer, used as a guide to give you a flawless tan. Upon exiting the shower, PAT DRY - swiping motions while drying will begin to strip your tan and cause a quicker, more uneven fade.
Golden carries a variety of solutions for all skin types and tones. Erica will discuss with you which solution would be best to achieve your perfect color.

Solutions contain cosmetic bronzer. Most bronzer will rinse off in your first shower. While marinating, it does have the ability to transfer to clothing and bedding.
Moisturizing is key in maintaining your tan.
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, including baths, spas and hot tubs, pools, lakes, oceans.
Pat dry after every shower - swiping motions will begin stripping your tan and cause a quicker, more uneven fade.
Even though you have a tan, the solutions DO NOT contain any SPF. Sunscreen is highly recommended to protect your skin.
FADING: Your face, feet, and hands will begin to fade the quickest.
A spray tan can last anywhere from 5-7 days, with proper care, before you notice significant fading.

Aerosol Sunscreens, AHA Products, Anti-Acne Products, Antibiotics, Band-Aids or Self-Adhesive Body Tape, Bar Soaps, Bug Spray, Perfumes, Body Sprays, Dove Soap, Facial Masks, Exfoliating Scrubs (unless prepping for your next tan), Products containing Mineral Oil, Retin-A Products, Toners containing alcohols or witch hazel, Wax or depilatory hair removal products
*All products listed are known to strip tans and create uneven and premature fading.

The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes from my arrival to departure.
Golden - Mobile Spray Tanning uses solutions, made from the highest quality, naturally-derived ingredients. We have a variety of solutions that complement every skin tone.
Our solutions are naturally unscented. The "tanning smell" comes from the amount of DHA - which is the darkening agent in the solution. The higher the DHA (or darker the tan) the more of a "smell" you will get. Overall, any smell is faint and not offensive

Spray tans are considered safe during pregnancy and for breastfeeding mothers, as the tan does not enter the bloodstream.
We offer protective coverings for nostrils and breasts, upon request.
